Virus Problem:

Fix:

Download/Install/Run ADWcleaner: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/dl/125/




Can't download any files or attachments. Chrome will tell you that "virus scan failed" when it attempts to download and fails

Fix:

  1. Open regedit
  2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Attachments
  3. Right click the ScanWithAntivirus key and choose Modify
  4. Set the value to 1
  • Note: Value 2 is "optional scan" and Value 3 is "Scan"

Remove Installed by enterprise policy from Chrome

  3. Issue should now be resolved
